Posi roof in Blackrock, Dublin
Posi Joist roof for Bartra Capital Property Group in Blackrock, Dublin.
Glensavage is a site of 2.49 acres off Avoca Road in Blackrock, developed by Bartra Capital Property Group using principal contactor Elliott Building and Civil Engineering ltd.
The site is characterised by an irregular shape and a woodland appearance.
The layout of the proposed development was designed in response to this with an arrangement of buildings of various scales and types stepping back and forward in plan throughout the site.
At the entrance from Avoca Road, there are three single-storey gate lodges.
They are ‘L’ shaped in plan, focusing around private courtyards and gardens facing south west. Beyond this, the site widens out to five large family homes, set within an open landscape.
Again, these have an ‘L’ shaped plan, with all the principle rooms facing south west into very large private courtyards.
To the southern end of the site are two apartment buildings, each three storeys and accommodating fourteen apartments in total, seven in each block with private terraces and balconies.
The principal contactors, Elliott Building and Civil Engineering, decided to use Posi rafters for the 5 large family homes and the Harmony Timber Solutions began delivery of the bespoke rafters on June 26th with the first call off being for the Show House, Plot 8.
